I apologize for the late response but I'm sorry to say I was incorrect about the 30th anniversary Razor Blades. The black framed blades have orange writing on the triggers, not white.
M Frame Boss post with those pictures make me drool.... I had both 1st and 2nd generation frames and they are sadly lost to the dustbin of history. Oh the humanity...
Yes, they were called "Mumbos" at the time. Funny how the pieces I am looking for pop up at just the time I'm seeking them out..... I agree with Trump, looking closer at the picture I see some stress cracks already formed in the frame. Something very common with pairs that old.
I do believe they were. I may have bought a pair of them, I'll have to do some digging around to find the box though. I've moved a couple of times and have things scattered around in different places. But I'm almost positive about that, I think they were black frames with fire iridium lenses.
Let me know what you have, what you are asking, and we can talk. Not looking for worn out pairs needing repair or just parts. In a perfect world (right?) I'm looking for a nice pair of specs without scratched lenses, cracks in the movable parts etc. Willing to talk? Let me know. Thanks, Paul...
Tough question to answer. I would think that the re-release versions (since they were released in relative terms technology-wise not that long ago, again, all things technology being relative) wouldn't be as brittle and more conducive to swapping. Although I have been in the oakley game a long...
I agree with what's been said about the originals being brittle. Taking the age into consideration at this point the originals are literally at their "breaking point". My white whale pair is something which I would love to wear. I have extra lenses for them and replacement triggers as well but I...
Let me know if I'm the only freak who responds to seeing a pair of sunglasses sitting on a table lens down and gets the shivers??? I learned this the hard way as a child and put one of my neighborhood friends who was much older and larger than I was glasses on a counter top that way and he...
Number one, two, and three all place in a tie for me because: #1 The first pair I ever owned (and judging from the average age here, I believe I'm one of the older members) #2 They are extremely rare (not even pictured on that other oakley fan/history site) #3 They are just plain Awesomeness...
Anyone know of a reliable source for original oakley replacement lenses for the now defunct original "Fast Jacket"? The actual oakley site has only one available set and they are one of the most useless color lenses made and do not fit what I use my specs for, yes I'm one of those freakish...
