I wouldn't polish them. My experience with the polishes I use is they all contain some kind of abrasive and will scratch the lens. Just do the alcohol soak until all coating is removed(might have to soak it more than once) and clean with mild soap and water and that's all I would do.

No the alcohol process will take everything off including the color. It will turn to the base color of the lens. Iridium and all coatings will be gone. The Why 8.X series lenses have same curvature as a Gascan lens. I compared my old Gascan lenses to my Why 8.1's. Dr. Chop could make new ones...
Probably a slim chance but does anyone have a right side right side Black Iridium Polarized Gascan lens in like new condition. I messed mine up trying to put it back after cleaning. PM me if you have one for sale. Thanks.
