Hello! I am from the US of A and my favorite pair of Oakleys ever probably has to be my pair of 1st Gen plasma Juliets. I'm super stoked because I got my email today telling me they're being shipped back from Oakley HQ after getting a tune-up :-) After that it probably has to be my woodgrain...
I was told at the Oakley store that it was $35 a pair, plus s&h. I'm looking to send a couple of my first gens in before I part with them because I feel a little weird selling an item with looseness to the bridge.
Yeah my bad. That's how they're listed, just in my mind the blue looks silver, and the silver looks like matte aluminum so I'm always accidentally referring to mine as silver.
Thank you sir! I've been growing the thing out for two years now... haha I usually wear it up like this: and yes, I absolutely agree with you. I LOVE the woodgrain w/ tungsten. I heard they have a Garage Rock in the same combo, and I really want it!
They don't seem feminine to me. Certainly they're a retro throwback, but this is a style pretty much every man wore in the 50's and 60's. Also, some people don't look very good in Oakley's more masculine styles (very much including myself, which is why it took working at SGH to realize how...
That's the one I really want... what kind of lenses come with it? If it's Tungsten I'm sold on the spot... Do you know if this is an O Store exclusive or will SGH eventually get it as well?
The blue one looks very very similar to the Matte Black when indoors, so not a lot of people can tell the difference in our store, except that the Matte Black has red on the inside of the arms. However, when the blue one is taken outside, the sun gives it a faint blue tint to its dark grey...
That's very enlightening, thank you! I was told this by a corporate Oakley employee via email when I inquired about receiving some Jupiter Lites as part of a contest I won: "Since that model was produced off a store forecast (ie: SGH) we have no extra stock available at this time." I read that...
Thanks for clarifying. I really do feel bad for alcapon1 and Batwolf, I would be disappointed too if something I ordered from an online store came in less than perfect condition. I don't know anything about how the online store operates, so I can't shed any more light on why some may be arriving...
It might not be a bad idea to keep the extra pair. As terrific as the Jupiters are, they aren't quite as durable as some other Oakleys, the hinges being the main culprit. They're not breakaway hinges, instead they have a pin, but if you accidentally bend that hinge it becomes really weak... the...
My ideal pair... Matte olive Jupiter Squared, brown rubber work, and emerald iridium lenses, etched with a logo or sun in the corner. However, a possibly better marketing idea would be (to match your name sun store) a yellow frame, with red rubbers and icons, the metal work could be white, still...
