So browsing facebook this morning and a sidebar ad loads, 2012 Oakley sunglasses $29 so I click on it. Here is an entire site dedicated to fake sunglasses, not just Oakley mind you.

Dark tinted lenses without UV protection will make it so the pupil stays dilated more in bright sunlight, allowing more light from the non-visible spectrum into the eye and accelerate damage and retinal burning.

It's more comfortable, but worse for you to wear cheap glasses with no protection.

Alright, but UV filtering is a property of polycarb. That is why the cheapest shades can advertise UV protection.
