I'd have to agree. If you print them flat (or round) side up, the hole on bottom should print fine. May need to adjust slicer settings but it should print fine.

Rounded rivets are a fairly shallow angle, what orientation would you use to print them?

Any. Doesn't really matter as they're round

Ok sorry, im confused, these are like the current rivets, which orienatation are you suggesting?

I was envisiging them to look like:

You can print them as caps with a void, and print the post separately. Press/glue them together.

Or just print them in the left orientation, should be able to without any real extra support print.

Oh okay that makes more sense, ill definetely give the 2 piece ones a try next time. The diameter of the head makes it sag a little bit when printed like the left ones on my printer even with active cooling in pla, granted its very cheap filament.

Just made this based on some signs Rustpot recommended earlier in the thread, not painted or glued together yet, bit of fun though. I'll organise a dropbox in the next few days for files to be uploaded to.

So what resolution printer are you using: is their a standard by which you wouldn't go any lower?
