I find the difference with the hammer stem arm is not an actual size difference, but a visual size difference, plus a feeling of 'space' at the sides. It also adds more finger room when putting on or removing.

Update, I now also have some xx ( thank you Diego ) they are a better fit than the Juliets with more coverage. But, the hammerstems don't look as good or feel as good as the Juliet stems, they create quite a large gap around the temple making them look overly large. So, thinking about swopping hammerstems for straights, some fab content on the forum ref swopping them, so going to try and probably shortly after that they will be winging their way across the pond hoping x metalman can sort out my ineptitude !
P.S. I started this thread on the 19th april when I had just straight and flak jackets, I now have 3 pairs of x metals, doesn't take long does it.
