I ma sorry to hear about your dad. It is nice being able to find an item that will keep the memories alive. You made a good decision not buying replacement parts for that frame.

@Rustpot This pair certainly qualifies for an NSWC exemption. Good story and they will keep your dad alive within you...not that he wouldn't have been regardless but these glasses are physical, and that's important also. You should put them on and walk outside, see the day the same way he did many times. It will matter, trust me. one time is all you'll need to feel it.

Thank you for the post. I certainly don't have a pair with that much significance.

I do have a Honda CRF450R supermoto race bike that belonged to a friend who passed away. I know my kids will value my motorcycles and Oakleys when I am gone, hopefully many years from now.
