But yeah, it really depends on what terms you're on with the O-Store. If you're a frequent face that walks out with something with every visit, it's a confident net profit for them. But it'd be their call.
I can't imagine them being cool with straight-up bargaining initiated by the customer. I work in a department store, and while there's leeway because of the volume the company pushes, and because it has policies that somewhat favor thieves, it's really just a tool for damage control.
