just dont slide the stems through your head, instead place first the tip at the back of your ear. then just slide down the frame to your nose bridge. That way you wont put stress on the lenses...

Some observations after R1 disassembled and cleaned.first time to disassemble. -total of 8 washers, 4 washers per ear stem -total 4 screws with each pair different length -x metal xx orbital gasket used as gasket for top portion temporarily Some pics...

Yes but only 2 washers per ear stem vs double washers or 4 in the original. Hope it will not impact the ear stem.

I hope not.. Just dont tighten it much. I think linegear uses 2 per side. But their washers equals 2 oem on thickness. Congrats on your romeo!

Pare congrats! I've always wanted to try R1s but I was scared of buying bigger frames before so I went with the Juliet during college... Now I think I like bigger frames more...
