Care to elaborate on that second part regarding the additional 1000 pairs? I only ask because mine arrived today from Oakley fresh out of the factory and I got 72/1500. Not sure how the numbering system work for these. I thought they were sold out for a while. The Oakley reps I spoke to via customer service all have no idea either.

Shaun white pulled some strings He gets all 1000...seriously I was told this at an OPD in Maine as well on the Aluminum only...the guy I talked to really wanted the Carbon one...I drive an 03 Corolla leaking oil...I took a closeout Minute 2 for 60 dollars

Definitely up there prestige wise. I am not sure if I would them often, if ever. They would be top shelf in a display case under lock and key.
