All colors with the same name are supposed to have the same light transmission profile. But different batches produce slightly different results. For instance, i have had a few black iridium lenses that have had varying degrees of darkness.

I would say mostly enough under bright light.

Anytime you want your eyes not to be seen, an iridium lens is your best bet.

The same lens will vary from model to model because of the light that gets in behind the lenses while wearing so with the m frames they may be more transparent due to letting in more light than the Xljs I would think.

I have the grey Strike lens... Eyes can be seen, but only slightly and depends on the lighting condition..
