Different Serial On A Copper Penny

There's an auction on ebay for a copper penny, serial is NAL xxxx-x. Does that mean something? I've heard of no serial or "W" for a warranty repair, and the 24k's also had "SAMPLE" serials. For a test run, that seems like a pretty large number range. Any ideas?

normal Copper Penny's are serialed PCXXXXXX.

This, my friend, is most likely a factory prototype.

Not a serial number, it's a vendor number. Essentially it is a sample pair, but Oakley used to try to keep tabs on these so they did not just get sold off immediatly like they do now.
