Mine does, but there's a pair being offered that says "FIRST COLLECTION COMES WITHOUT SERIAL NUMBER"

I haven't seen any R1 without a serial number unless it has been refinished.

Any explanation would be greatly appreciated.

a warranty frame is what goes back to you if you send your pair in for warranty because it was cheaper to send you a new pair versus to refinish/correct your current pair. Some xmetal lines had them start with a "W". but in the romeo 1's case a few came out without a serial number.

in regards to the auction, they are not original lenses, just FYI. And I am not sure what the statement is about the serial number, maybe he is implying that it is his first pair in his collection without a serial #?

Looks more like he's implying first run plasmas came with no serail .. We've seen wilder claims :D

Thank you very much for the explanation and for taking the time. I wonder what HQ is going to do with a Juliet that I returned after they cracked the nose bridge during a tune up. I doubt that they have any warranty pairs.

    Cheers

I´m sure that they still have lots of warranty pairs somewhere hidden in the basement ;)
Last year I was able to buy BNIB Juliet frames in an Oakley Outlet

WOW, where is that outlet? I always ask in the local O stores and vaults here and they don't have anything beyond 2014
