Do Clear Frames Look Weird When Worn?

I think polished clear looks a bit garish. I have a set of matte clear NewFrogs that I've worn several times. They do brighten in the sun, but they're not bothersome like the crystal red Radar I had.

The red would light up like a Christmas tree and my eyes were constantly drawn to the intense 'glow' of the temple or nose bridge in my peripheral vision. I wore them outside once then traded them. I can't imagine a full frame design in a polished clear or bright crystal color, I think that would drive me nuts.

I also had a rust frame Monster Pup. I sold those more out of fit issues, but they'd do the same thing as the Radar, just to a lesser degree since the frame was a darker color.

I also have a tortoise pair of NewFrogs that's a little darker but still translucent, and they're not bothersome to wear.

I'm leaning towards them being a bit showy too, especially with ice/fire/emerald lenses. Half of me wants a "wanker/douche" pair of sunnies though

IMO, matter clear ones are okay.

hmmm I dont think the "d" word is in order but Matte looks frosted and ok altho allows too much sun for me Polished Clear just kills me and doesnt look right ...on me...both better than white for looks but not function...just never can pull off white and never will.

The problem I have with clear frames is the sun bleed through the stems. I get crazy amounts of irritating glare because of that. If you have long hair or wear them under a hoodie/hat you would most likely be able to eliminate that issue but for me it's a deal breaker.

I love the grey smoke frames though and will put up with some glare to rock those bad boys.
