Do I look like a @#!+~@

walked into Discount Tire on Saturday and the dude was all like "holy hell, that is a sick watch - can I see it !?!?"

I thought to myself "but I'm wearing some XMetal XX's, say something about those !!!"

nope - nothing - wanted to see my watch instead...

**sigh**

I don't think an XMetal will make anyone look douchey - if they do, odds are that the person has a high level of douche before he even puts on a set of glasses....

You know, there seems to be a time when we transition from having our style evolve along with the current trend to picking a style and sticking to it. The exact age where that happens, different for everybody.

That's why you often see elderly running around with ridiculously outdated hairstyles and clothing (and sometimes dyejobs that aren't fooling anybody). But is that really a bad thing? Isn't a grandpa trying to match the style of his grandson even more ridiculous?

In the '80s, I wore form-fitting Levis 501s. Then I transitioned to the relaxed fit when that became the thing. Then skinny jeans came back. I ain't wearing no skinny jeans...

Would you where a flat bill hat kicked kinda sideways?

That reminds me - I didn't really realize how detailed those 501s showed the contour of my "package", until I wore them to work one day (I normally wore slacks) and a female co-worker came up to me and asked "is that all you?" as she flicked the head of my dlck through my jeans... not expecting it, I half jumped out of my skin...

That actually happened to me today. :p

Many people people wear vintage Rolex and other items. This is just and extension, the difference being that on this occasion the sunglasses are so well built they stand the test of time. Can't see that happening for many other plastic and wire models/brands. IMHO this is probably the first time there has been the option to continue wearing such items forever.

Talking about hair styles and 80s. Nature/genetics is cruel mistress, she has a way of limiting hair styles types for quite a few men (including me)!
