Do Mirrored Lenses Make Any Difference For The Wearer?

Hello,

I have a Fives 4.0 with mirrored black iridium polarized RX lenses. Now I wanna buy a new model with the same lenses, but I'm not sure if I should choose the mirrored effect again. So is there any advantage for the wearer or is it just a difference in style?

I think the mirrored effect is for style points only...

hides your eyes....

The mirrored effect is the Iridium I believe and yeah, mostly just for looks and help with specific light conditions/glare? although do they make polarized that aren't iridium?

Seriously though.

This is straight off of Oakleys website.

Made of Plutonite® to filter out every eye-chafing ray of UV, the lenses are available in a full spectrum of options. HDPolarized lenses beat down 99% of reflected glare with premium filtering while Iridium® coatings balance light transmission and reduce glare even more

Oakley Iridium coating, for me, reduces glare extremely well. I have found that non-polarized iridium lenses alone cut out more glare than other brand's polarized lenses.
