I'm working on a new set as we speak - pipe cleaners, egg carton, some scissors and a perrier bottle. These things are going to be AMAZING!

I meant to ask Hans at RED if they were planning to do some sort of a 3d printing kit- ship lenses and hinges then machine code for the rest.

I really doubt this will have any real success. As someone who designs items for a living (although much much larger than sunglasses), I understand the importance of modularity/interchangeability of components to reduce costs, tooling, setup, inventory, turnaround time etc. However, sunglasses are meant for comfort and style (other than the obvious work the lens does).

You cannot tell me that a frogskin style frame can use the same stems as a radar style (and vise versa) and be comfortable or be something anyone will wear.
