Hammer Earstems On Juliets

I keep seeing Juliets listed on ebay with hammer earstems and I question if they're really Juliets or maybe misidentified XXs.

From what I've read, only polished Juliets have hammer earstems, all others have normal? Is this correct? Any more info?

Any comments on which earstem type is preferable?

Thanks!

Yes that's correct. Personally I don't like hammers on Juliet's, I think they look like they stick out too much because the orbitals are small. Hammers work much with larger orbitals like Romeos and XX. Plenty of people like them because the are different and gives a more aggressive look.

Thanks.

Does that mean that all polished Juliets have hammers, or are there polished Juliets out there with normal stems?

they "stick out" and fit the same only the hammers have a kink in them. If you lay a hammer on top of a straight you will see what im talking about.
