Hello! Wanna get to 15 posts! :-)

Hi All - I promise to the moon that I'm not a troll. I promise.

I was in my eye doc office today and took at look at their Oakley's. I discovered I kinda do like the Flak 2.0 XL. But anyway - he started selling me on the Maui Jims...

I was very very impressed with the Maui Jim Kahana, and the Castaway. Links below:. I tried on the silver, but I think if I were to get them I'd get brown. These looked better on my particular face than I thought possible... Haha
I'm not kidding.

Anyway - what are the disadvantages or advantages of these vs Oakley's? My heart wants Oakley's, but thise things looked so good!

Another option would be a pair or two of more athletic Oakley's then the Maui's for looking classier or something... I dunno..

Thoughts? And thanks!

The only thing I know about MJ is those lenses are glass. Ours (Oakleys) are polycarbonate

Guess which one can shatter and possibly damage your eyes?

:headbang:Welcome to the forum man. We all have the same problem with selecting a pair of shades. There is always a revolving "short list" of the next pair to pick up. You won't go wrong with a pair of Oakleys to wear. You will soon figure out the lenses and colourways of all the different frames. Enjoy your head will be spinning shortly

Haha! Believe me - head is already spinning! And I've probably worn out my welcome at 2 different Sunglass Huts already without buying something....! Haha Gonna have to buy something to show I'm for real.... Haha.

Good luck and when you get a chance hit up an Oakley store some of the pro's in there will amaze you. My local sunglass hut does have a pretty strong Oakley guy in there so they are around.

Interesting! I'll check the site. Last I looked I don't know of I saw any true Oakley stores in my area (Pittsburgh).

Finally placed an order! This is from Verizon smart rewards. Now I just need to get a pair of Tinfoils on a good deal (I don't want the carbon on the Oakley sales page as I don't trust the carbon durability). Too bad wire taps don't have replacement lenses and/or other lens choices...

Also on my want list are Tailhooks, maybe twoface, and maybe triggerman.
