How To Clean Oakley Backpack

I have a Khaki backpack that has a few stains and spots from general use. Anyone have any tips for cleaning the backpack material?

I would just try a tooth brush and detergent. If worse came to worse though I would just magic eraser the whole thing. It might take some color off but it would add character.
