Juliet Finish Question

Hello O Brethren,

I'm trying to figure something out. Attached is a photo of a Gen 1 X Metal (right) next to a 4th Gen X Metal(?). The photo doesn't show the drastic difference as well as the eye but the frame is very brown in color. Is this normal or could it be a different finish?

I'll try to get a better photo during the day, natural light makes it look super brown. I kind of like the color personally but was just curious.

Sounds like a layer of oxidation on the titanium. Many frames slightly discolor like that. I have a plasma finish juliet that looks sort of golden because of the oxidation.

Wow that is a very big difference. I like the color of my old ones on the left better. It works well with those fire lenses.

Cool color nonetheless! You said 4th Gen (?) any serial number to get an original color from?

My oldest one is close to the one on the left. I actually prefer it to the other one.

You may have refinished it. I purchased it from a fellow forum member who said you tuned them up. I then sold them to X's and O's

I have a first gen Juliet X-Metal (X Serial) and XX X-Metal SKU (2009) since new, no refinish, and the same difference here.
