@Jacob Carstens was the other member that had the gold serial. I did purchase these from @saulsaul, who has been amazing, so I absolutely trust they're authenticity as 1st gen.

I have no doubt you've bought a genuine 1st gen ... And Oakley has been consistently inconsistent when it comes to serials/markings on frames over the years ...

But to make some from the same gen gold and others silver? Seems like an unecessary step ...

Maybe it was done/modded after?

Modded as in a change in its colour ... It's amazing what can be done ...

Post your serial and maybe people with close numbers will be able to see more and speculate wether it's lighting, a freak occurance or purposely done!
