Keeping Rubber Fresh

I just put new earsocks and nose pads on my Juliets and am noticing how great the new rubber pieces grip. (Especially on my nose) I have washed my old rubber pieces with soap, but they are not like the new ones. Is there any good way to bring the grippy-ness back to a pair of used rubber or is it impossible once the oils from your face get rubbed into them?

Hot/boiling water and dish cleaning up liquid, dry and repeat a couple of time to remove all the oil.

basically oil/sweat has soaked into the rubber to the point of saturation- typhoons advice should do the trick. keep your new ones clean!

i just use boiled water and soak them awhile. u need to use something to keepnit submerged as its floaty. then a good soap and rinse, repeat..

Is there anything I should do to keep them from getting to that point? I assume that if you wear them daily, like I do, that getting saturated is just part of it.
