Yep! Snakeskin.

I believe these are leather with snakeskin embossing. The leather appears to have a coating on them that should make them relatively wearable. The suede version? No way...

So how much does a pair like that run?

Original retail was $190, sell for at least twice that now complete.

Only because I have the distinctive advantage of holding them in my hands and can see the uniformity of the "scales". Additionally the hide is VERY thin. You would come to the same conclusion I'm sure!
