I believe you are right, it will fetched $1,000 or $1,500 depends on region. I heard in region where I am from only less than 10 pairs will be available on Christmas and people are crazy on items like this.

Some O Stores and OPDs still have them in stock so people can still get them. I do not think they will ever hit $1000. Once demand dies out they should be even easier to find. I think they will peak at $700 and then go down from there.
