Max Fearlight Wire Sub Zero - CUSTOM BUILD!

update- i have just made traceouts of the #2n, as well as of an orbital, to create the wire frame around.

and yes, i did try to wear that traceout lol. will be getting wire and start construction over the next few days. thanks to Dann of o-review, who has provided me with the original patent diagrams to work off. i will post those when i get to a PC.

thanks Hearno! its been something ive been wanting to do for some time now.

anyway, if anyone is confused as to the removable frame-from-lens issue, here is a pic of the internals of a sub zero #2n.

all zeros have this, and its basically a vestigial remnant from the original design. the idea is that triangle catches the lens, while a pin further down on the frame (in this case, to the right of the picture) will clip the lens in place. im assuming they scrapped the idea due to fragility issues.

if im not wrong theyre just glued in for production models.

arms are actually the mframe's hammerstem! gen 1, at that.

so if anyone has a broken zero or gen1 mframe arms, let me know please. it will help greatly.

thanks mate!

heres more progress, the nosebridge. this took very long to get the right shape.. a standard zero nosepiece clips on perfectly now, and the lengths and gaps are all scale-correct to the patent diagram.

i will work on the other orbital and get the lengths for the top nosebridge brace tomorrow. after that, i just need those final parts- Gen1 Mframe arms, and a zero frame. oh, and some lenses to cut from..

PM sent about some scrap lenses.

I don't like the Zero, I'm just technically interested. Nice project
What kind of wire are you using?
Where are the original welding points?
How do you want to solder the frame?
