Well, as promised to Yoshi. Yesterday the Epica concert was awesome. They have a new stage set-up, which was really great. The show was awesome they really had a good day, they played a good 2 hour show. However there were as always some people that had the need to talk during the softer songs, which is pretty annoying...

The opener for them was Stream of Passion. I have been to some SoP concerts before, but for me this was one of their better performances. So all in all it was just awesome ;)

I have heard mixed reviews about 'requiem for the indifferent'. I read mark jansen sort of killed it with his overkill of death growls, i hate how he overdoes it on songs.
Sounds like a awesome concert though, anytime to see Simone live is definitely one to remember. She is incredible :) Epica is one of my favorite metal bands !!!
i just recently got into stream of passion. Im liking them.

Hehe, well. I have the album for about a week now. And I have to say it is a bit more accessible than their previous albums. But absolutely awesome, his grunts are better than before. And actually on previous albums there were more grunts, so...

Funny fact of SoP, the band is mostly Dutch, as you might know. But the singer is from Mexico actually, she now also lives in the Netherlands. I think according to music I am pretty much ok here :)

Maybe at the end of April I will visit an Anathema gig in Amsterdam, never seen them live before. Think that must be great too.

I was in a female vocalist mood today...

This first one is Stiffed.... Now known as Santogold.
She was a local (Philly) artist before she made it big... And I'm glad I got to see her at the Electric Factory!

You can't put Ride the Lightning in the same era as Load. That's blasphemous.
