My (good experience) trip to HQ today =)

Aside from all the crazy traffic (to avoid toll roads and paying one-time fees, etc), I decided to head out to HQ today. its about an hour away. My main goal was to get one of my juliets tightened up.

So I went to the walk-in-warranty, and asked if they still did juliet tune-ups (since theres a thread here saying no more!) Luckily they still do the flex couplers, but as far as gasket, washers, screws....those are all gone. I asked several times and they kept saying they ran out.

As far as the flex coupler, I asked how much longer they will keep going? They said theres a crate-ful that may last maybe couple more years, depending on how high demand is...
So I was able to get my flex coupler worked on, and I asked if I could get a set of the earsocks/nosebombs and yes, they were FREE OF CHARGE! (whoohoooooo) - they also gave me a free microfiber bag (black plain)

Then I also wanted to replace the battery in my titanium gearbox, since I dont know how much longer the OEM battery from the factory would be good for, and since I'm at HQ anyway, might as well right? So Mike, the watch specialist, swapped it out and he said its on the House! (another WHOHOOoooooo)

I actually felt kinda bad that I didnt spend anything....I was expecting a 65-70 dollar tune up for juliet...but I guess since they dont have any other parts besides the flex coupler, they did it free for me. And I was expecting some fee for the watch as well. So I decided to check out 2 shops inside, and got a factory pilot keychain.....for retail...lol

Pics or it didnt happen right?!?!

Glad your experience was a positive one, Big Mike does know his stuff!

I want to visit HQ someday. Sounds like you had a great experience there. I like it when oakley employees are nice enough to give you free stuff, definitely helps the collection of spare parts.

There are 2 shops inside, like an O-Store and a Vault, is that it?
Ah, great stuff too hehe Rubies rock!!

no vault unfortunately. Just two retail sections. One side is the "main side" - some clothing, lots of eyewear, cases, misc accessories. The other side is smaller, moslty women's fashion eyewear and athletic apparel. Some backpacks too.

You missed the "museum"? There are items on display in an enclosed pathway hidden by drapes that starts on the left side of the rear (by the clothing) and wraps around the back and out the left rear side (by the glasses).
It's a very modest display but its there.

Oh I forgot to mention that. I have been there before. However this time it was closed. There were workers moving boxes of inventory around so they blocked it off.
