my shelves are 5/16" thick. I am interested in the locks but I have different style locks on my x-metal case. I wonder if they are the same as what I need for the my Spline case? I'll post some pictures later.

. The locks on the spline are totally different according to Ben at my O store. I can get locks for the case like mine though.

I have a question. Do you think that a 1/2 thick sheet of plexi is too heavy? Would the pins built to hold shelves could hold that?

If you want an alternative is go with 1/4 inch tempered glass similar to the 3.0 black towers that way you don't get flexing in the shelves when you put heavy things on them such as watch cases.
