Papio's Collection (Finally a Singlewide!!)

The spoon is a family heirloom. My grandfather was stationed in England ww2. They were issued a spoon for mess. He lost his one day, asked for another and was denied. Being an aircraft mechanic, he went to the shop, grab a chunk of aluminum from a part of an RAF Spitfire, and hand forged his own spoon. Used it his whole life. It is engraved, Hesemann, 1943, Spitfire.
That's badass.

Close ups of the spoon.

Excellent display, but that story on the spoon takes the cake. He was obviously a very talented man with metal.
