Added another to the collection. Picked up the Texas Tea from eBay. Got them in, quick spray and wipedown, and they're in mint shape with tight hinges.

That put me to a quartet with Tortoise, Matte Clear, Black, and Texas Tea.

Ha, these were the very first pair of Oakleys I bought. I was a teenager on holiday trying to impress the ladies and these were all the rage then. Didn't do me any good though.

Yes. All 4 pairs have quite a different feel to them. They do not feel as flexible as today's glasses, but I'm hoping by buying lots of them and rotating them into wear conservatively they'll last a good while. If not, oh well. I enjoy wearing these quite a lot more than any of my other pairs, save maybe the M Frame, but these are more casually accepted.

They're light as hell, wide enough that I'm not stressing them too badly, and fit me great.

I'm liking this Frogskin. So why did Oakley change the style from the wrap round back to the original? Were they just trying to go retro with the look?

The New Frogskins actually didn't sell that well from what I recall. Then the whole retro-sunglasses thing kicked off when the Wayfarers became fashionable again and voila, we have the best Oakley frame back in its original(ish) form!

I'd tell you but I'd have to kill you. I can pass some spots along as I go if it's a colorway I've already got. But if it's white, rootbeer, crystal/smoke black or polarized? Game on.

There is a black/grey set on eBay right now, for $150 :laugh::blink:
