Went down to HQ today to get some of my X Metals tuned up and came across a ton of banners hanging in the lobby. I also met up with my friend who works at Oakley and he told me it's a new marketing campaign they're starting up that seems to allude to the old school Oakley attitude, evidenced by the Jim Jannard quote which i thought was pretty awesome.

Here's the pics:

I'm pretty excited about this. It gives me hope that good things are just around the corner for Oakley and its fans.

I heard they are about to go onto a huge apparel run and there is a ton of new stuff about to hit!!

The only thing that I can think of, and it really is crazy, off the wall, but Jannard has been gone for 5 years now right? Sold in 2007, it's now 2012. Hopefully this means huge things!? Better design may be on the way back to us.

I hear its a campaign aimed directly at Oakley employees. Like a social network system, IE: Facebook, for Oakley employees stretched out across the country/globe to interact with one another.

I was at my local O store today and one of the employees said that they are changing their logo to this new Fire thing. Not really sure if it is true or not nor do I know what it means. Should be interesting to see.
