Oakley Bottle Cap - Water Resistant?

Water resistance depth ratings can be misleading, they indicate lab conditions and non-moving water. Water in motion can simulate the pressure of deeper depths very easily.

The 100M / 10 BAR rating of the Bottle Cap, in practical uses, is fine for swimming, in the shower, maybe some light water sports.

While for impact water sports, you're better off with a 200M / 20 BAR or better rating.

Surfing might be okay, but that's pushing it and I wouldn't do it. Also, since you've had it so long and it's seen so much use, it'd be worth having the gaskets serviced before trying anything like that.
