Oakley Craigslist Scams

I will say though from my experiences I much prefer dealing on Craigslist than eBay. No lost/delayed shipments...or waiting for a buyer to pay many days after winning your auction...or dealing with any of the other nightmares that flea bay is a prime breeding ground for.

About 5 years ago when I was first getting into Oakleys Craigslist was the shizz in my area! Mint Titanium Spikes for $40, NIB Bob Burnqist GasCans for $25, like-new Pit Boss with box and all for $180, Ryan Sheckler Sideways for $30 (guy wasn't even there - just left them on his work desk, gave me the address and told me to leave the cash there if I liked them). The last good deal was a pair of Romeo 2's + x-metal box which if I recall correctly was also $180.

Nowadays there isn't much up at all. I've seen a few fake Jawbones but other than that mostly just steep prices for genuine pairs that just aren't that special.

Strangely though Craigslist has blocked me from their site a few times lately. I've noticed its typically after I post something for free and get an influx of replies in a short period of time. Since Craigslist has no customer service to speak of, when this happens there's literally nothing I can do other than hope they let me back on in a couple days. This happened to anyone else?

YES! It happened to me to. Recently I heard that Craigslist's ownership was changed. Recently I tried selling 2 Airsoft Guns, and they removed because they said "It Promoted Violence." Seriously? A toy gun. And it used to be allowed to sell them. Craigslist is becoming more **** than ever. Soon they are thinking about charging people. And lately they have banned many things in Craigslist.

I was pretty shocked the first time it happened, figured I'd have to use Craigslist from school or work from now on but fortunately it ended up being only temporary. Makes absolutely no sense.

So apparently you can hire a hitman and solicit the dispatching of a family member, but giving away good stuff for free or selling toys - scandalous!

I recently got two XS frames. Paid 350 for both. Good deals but the condition they are in never what is reported in the sale. Craigslist is a crap shoot really, and as far as fakes go, flagging is about all you can do, but unless someone else flags as well, nothing will happen.
