Oakley Day At Red - Who Got Some Cool New Stuff?

If someone figured out how to cut a subzero from a donor lens I need to talk to them, I have ideas.
you need a goggle lens to do it. Radarlock XL, M Frame, ETC have an issue with the notch on the sides...I have tried.

Here is what I received:

Quinton was kind enough to kick me a bad @$$ watch stand that works perfectly for my watches

He also kicked a nice O Forum Dr.Chop coin, which stands proud in the cabinet

But the best, are the Shoe One Low & High Top Shoes I got in trade from Mr. Jannard himself. The "Madman" was truly a man of class.

Can't forget the killer microbags from Garth (buckeye bag), and Brent (Haley's)

I didn't come away from RED with any rare pairs or great finds. I came away with something much better. The once in a lifetime chance to meet and hang with Jim and the time spent with my trip-mates. Had an unbelievably fun time the entire weekend! Has a great time meeting the members I had made great friendships with face to face and also got to meet some new friends. I left hoping to score a lone Japan Microbag and the opportunity to meet Jim. The outcome was much better than expected. I received 2 Japan bags from HQ and managed to acquire a few more "Japanese" display items to match up to my newly acquired Polished/TI Clear Juliet's as well as a set of HTF Juliet lenses for a great friend. The outcome at RED was stellar. Special guest and Juliet designer Hans Moritz signed 3 Juliet boxes for me and shared some great insight on the design of the entire X Metal line. Jim was also gracious enough to sign the lenses of my Purple and Brown Juliet's. Very special thanks to Jim Jannard and his staff that helped make this happen. Special thanks to xmetalmaniac , Car Guy, The X-Man and Infinite Hero for making this trip unforgettable.

I got a Buckeye bag from fellow Buckeye Garth too as well as some signed stuff from Hans and Jim too but the most important thing that I brought back was the friendships.
The friends that I stayed with (XMetalManiac, InfiniteHero, TheXMan & Dyer) but had never met in person before, it was like we had known each other forever.
Same with everyone that I met at RED too numerous to list and I would inevitably forget one and offend them.
Everyone seemed so ideologically similar with such similar senses of humor and SO MUCH CONSIDERATION FOR OTHERS.
I guess that it stands to reason because everyone there had the same interest /passion and it was like everyone was filtered and pre-qualified.
Like Burning Man, Bonnaroo, skydiving or whatever is on your bucket list this was something truly EPIC!
No offense meant, but it's too bad that the tapatalk sidetrack posts chew up what projects to be a great thread. Perhaps MP and XMM would consider going back and cleaning them up in the interest of posterity.
Later friends!

I only came away with meeting some great Oakley fanatics and putting faces to (forum) names.....that and some fantastic tacos and a FUN Q and A with both Jim and Hans. I asked a lot of questions and hope i wasn't a hog. It was a great day. I got to ride my bike 175 miles, went to HQ, had some Juliets and RX "oo's" tuned up for free. Met a bunch of the guys there at HQ then hauled ass from the 405 to the 105 and ended up splitting lanes for 10 miles, lol. Those money grubbin car pool nazi's changed the 105 car pool lane to a PAY lane....those bastids! Still made it there early to RED and had the time of my life. I also came away with the conclusion that i'm just a little teeny tiny fish in the Oakley collecting pond. Some of you guys are seriously committed! Maybe your significant others think you should BE committed lol. Thanks for a great day and what cool stuff i got was intangible. Priceless. One day that i doubt will ever be repeated.
Tim
PS i apologize is this was slightly off topic.

I already posted this in another thread, but wanted to post here as well. The only trade I made was a Zero 0.6 PlanetX for a Zero 0.4 Cobalt (Sorry again that we couldn't work a deal qtrain). I also bought 24K Gold Chrome Fast and Racing Jackets from Dr. Chop. Of course, I also got a signed business card from Jim. However, for me, seeing FGG's collection, and getting to hang out with and hear all the stories from Jim and Hans were the real highlights of the day.
