Just found this article sorry it's in french. Interview of Nick garfias the VP of Oakley design.he is talking about the model that tom cruise is wearing in the last MI movie.almost invisible.
"So we needed a thin frame, in one piece and light, both visually and in terms of weight. The model had to be able to withstand a free fall from a parachute and, at the same time, be elegant"
"We submitted several versions to them each week. Each had a serial number so that Cheesman's various remarks could be recorded. In the process however, we had to make sure not to compromise the optics, the adjustment, and to avoid at all costs the appearance of fogging and water retention."
The model has no official name but more importantly
"a consumer version of the glasses could be marketed, while a new custom-made Oakley pair will make its appearance in part 2 of Dead Reckoning "

So now, the real questions to be asked are: How many 'arms and legs' will it cost and how few will be made, also how will you be able to tell if faked?
