I've been looking around here and on various posts I have seen people talking about insuring their Oakley collections. So I was wondering is that a common thing for people to do with larger collections?

    Yes. Very.

Some of those guys with larger collections don't need to lose 6 or 7 figures worth of their stuff and not be insured for it. That would be disastrous.

Yeah, if it's something that you've considered, I'd say you have enough value in your Oakleys. Shouldn't be too hard to add it to a homeowners policy... which makes me wonder...

How do you go about adding it if you don't have receipts @OakleyFrankFMJ ?

Be interesting to see how it all worked when/if it came time to pay out on a claim without a receipt considering "fair market value" would be tricky to determine

@OakleyFrankFMJ How big is your collection? And if you don't mind me asking was there a huge hike-up on price once you claimed your Oakleys on your homeowners insurance?

Not that big and yes there was a spike. . Mainly because quite a few of the items were at a very high purchase price.
