Oakley SI Flak 2.0 XL Thin Blue Line

What is the difference between Black Iridium and Photocromic lens? I know Photocromic costs more but I wonder why?

Photochromic lenses change 'colour' depending on the UV exposure ... They go from light to dark usually ... Not any good inside a car...

Black is just black ...

I had to order me a pair of the black Iridium tonight before they went on back order. Wish they'd done more than the small blue line on icon, but oh well.
