I think the Blender is a older frame than the Taper.... is that right?

    when did either come out?

They both look very similar shape wise... seems like the most signficant difference is the arms, blender = Omatter arms, the taper is very wireframe arm.

I just came across the Blender frame 2 days ago after eyeing the Taper for about only the past 3 weeks.

Truthfully after Oakly phased out the XX metal a few years ago, I couldnt get to like any Oakley sunglass frames until on a whim at a airport shop, I started trying this years new Xmetal frame, which became too small for me to wear, and the sales lady worked me through to the Taper, which, surprisingly, fits.

The Blender was 2011, Taper was 2014. There are Taper pairs on the online Vault right now.

Rustpot, thank you. Wow, the Blender is older than I thought. what about the lineage of 'blender 6B' and blender 2.0 ? is the Blender 2.0 just a RX frame?
