Oakley Tune Up - UK

I recently sent 3 frames into Oakley UK which turned out very badly indeed. One came back fine, the second now has a damaged nose bridge ( pins pushed through way too hard so now protrude from the front ) and the third, wait for it.......they lost!

I am currently attempting to find out if the nose bridge can be sorted properly and I have been offered a Badman as compensation for my lost frame (1st gen x metal) which is a joke. The damaged frame is also a JC serialled corvette carbon.
Overall, not a good week.

That is horrific. How can that be possible? You trust Oakley themselves with your X Metals and that's how they treat them. Unbelievable pal

That's exactly what I have said to them Aaron. I've had many tune ups done without any issues whatsoever over the last few years, but this is unbelievable.

And to offer a badman as compensation is a bit of an insult. Those x metals are irreplaceable.

They need to offer you the current value of those x metals at least

They can only offer the value of the glasses at the time of sale, so a Badman is the 'equivalent' these days. It's a joke!

that's awful stu. maybe it will be worth finding out a bit more about where things have gone wrong. my experiences of uk tune ups have always been positive. maybe they are subcontracting the work out?

sorry that it's your pairs that have got trashed/lost and hope you can reach an agreement about resolving things....
