Oakley X-Metal XX (24k) - No serial?

Hi,

What does it mean when a pair of X-Metal XX 24k Oakley's don't have a serial number?

I saw one person from my research say "second generation frames didn't have serial numbers" then I saw another person say 'second generations had B on the serial number instead of A"

So what is it?

Are these possibly a warranty pair?

Non serial is gen 4. Could also be warranty yes.

does a 4th gen/none serial has lesser value than the serialed/sku ones considering they are the same condition? thanks.

If in the same condition yes, you will find the higher value in a serialised pair.

X metals were unserislised from 2004-2009.
Prior to this they were serialised and post featured an sku (product code).

They did indeed and they come in the newer style 3 piece box.
