Though I'm uncertain what value a serial has once you've refinished a pair to something different.

Can't necessarily rationalise why, but I'd want to keep it.

lol yeah, I've got a refinish job I want to do once I can source the donor frames, and I expect to keep the serial, too. But IDK why...

i have a pair that got redone too and kept the serial to have a history of the frame i guess like a provenance.

I think i will sent my XX metal 24k to him. So i can restore my xmetal with original serial number.
In my country people only able to restore to xmetal, plasma and polished. More cheap with good quality, but all original serial number will be gone.
