Such a stupid fish. I've hooked plenty of small bass trying to take bait bigger than their mouth, especially small mouth. Bluegill though?

It hit the lure a few feet off the bank and tried to run. Whether that was from the hooks or it thought it had something, who knows. One side of the treble was through the lip, one side through the face.

My experience with bluegill in the water where that was caught has been that they tend to go for smaller baits than you'd normally expect, making them hard to catch from shore unless they are hugging the bank like today. I just don't get the strike, unless it was actually some form of territorial aggression and not an intended bite.

My repaired phone is doing well... it died after 13 hours, with 6 hours of screen on time and horrible signal in the bunker.

I don't even get 8 hours of battery use from the phone. Maybe not even 5-6.
