been reading some threads that sorta mention about orange iridium but i have not actually seen any which were labeled as such. were they only available for really vintage frames or are they just first gen fire lenses?

Yes, Orange Iridium does exist. It was one of the first Iridium colors, Violet is the other. It will only be found in early vintage models.

    Persimmon 0.6

They were filed in my brain as amber

Pretty awesome either way though. I tried for a while to score a pair to rock @ my sporting clays range
