Polished Juliet Variations

The noticeably lighter unserialised pair I had, I only wish i'd weighed at the time. I remember at the time switching from this particular pair in hand, to the serialised JB frame (both bare frames) and the difference was vast which was very surprising. I knew it felt lighter initially with handling so many Juliets over the years, but on comparison felt like 2/3 of the weight, if that. I only wish i'd held onto that one.

Digital scale purchased and I've had a bit of a weigh in with the Juliets. I weighed initially 2 standard form, non hammer or polished Juliets which both gave the same weight of 44g. I furtherly weighed 4 others which also gave 44g, 2 of which occasionally dropped to 43 but settled back to 44 shortly. I them weighed my polished variants, beginning with my 4 older variants which are 2 JB's, a JG and a JP which all bar one of the JBs and the JP hit 44, the other JB and the JP made 43. I then weighed my Ichiro, which I felt was light when I received it as a bare frame. This weighed in at 41g and I checked several times over to receive the same weight. My other polished slate Ichiro gave 43 each time.

That's awesome Stu! Do you have one of the newer (sku type frame) polished like a polar fire or a fire?
Can we infer that the gold used on the 24k's is about a gram of gold? Or does the sticker that says H mean "heavy"?

I'm afraid I don't have one of those versions to check which is a pain, and I'm surprised I've never gotten around to buying one. I'll have to put it on my list for trading! I did see a nice fire polarized on the board which was a very tempting thought. With the gold you could be spot on with 1g unless its the weight of the sticker itself!
I would definitely need to weigh later pairs for a more definitive result as it still may be down to general variation and would not like to say 'all' later pairs are lighter, but that the only lighter pairs I have found have been later models.
