I'm late to the party,(furniture shopping with the wife) and these guys before me all said it as a variation of my feelings about polished... I wear them in the regular rotation because I like the "pop". Same reason I wear my Deuce Coupe Holbrooks and Plasma/ fire Madman, and these cycling shoes:

Bottom line for me: I like flash and I think they're pretty F'ing cool.

I dig the polished finishes, I like flashy. Probably the same reason I drive a z06 corvette and not a pick up. Just my 2 cents

Wait, you can still drive a pick up and it be flashy. I have polished R1s that go great with the chrome on my truck. lol
