Problem with Fire lenses

The reflections of your eyes are not caused by fire lenses per se. Any lenses under certain conditions like you mentioned will produce that effect if it doesn't have adequate backside anti reflective coating. Fire lenses tend to have 'ghosting' orange flares under certain conditions which some people either love them or hate them. I personally find them mesmerizing - sort of like spontaneous fire works during broad daylight!

To me, it is distracting. One of the things I love about Oakley is the lens clarity. I hardly notice it now, unless I'm purposefully looking for it.
