Prototype Mars on eBay for $2500 USD

I don't know anything about these Mars and I don't have the coin to buy them, but thought someone might be able to shed some light on what makes them so expensive. The seller has more Oakley items listed as well:

For the OP, this pair is NOT a prototype from Oakley, it's someone's attempt to customize and line their pockets with your hard earned coin. It's a Mars Crater polished out, added hammer stems, ice lenses and colored unobtainium. But ebay sellers try to catch unsuspecting buyers and reel them into a load of crap.

In all actuality there are only a few members on here that truly own X Metal prototypes.
