Hello. I am brand new here, and the first thing I am doing is asking a favor.

I've just gotten some Juliets, anniversary gift for my husband. I don't want to give him fakes and if you could lend me some experience here I'd be very grateful.

Details: Was told by seller that these Juliets were received as a gift, worn once, and then stored in the box.

Bottom of box says "Oakley 1997" in the center of it, tag on the right is dated in "09/28/00" which tells me if this was the original box, wouldn't these Juliets have a serial number? Because they don't. I thought pre-2004 had a serial number. If so, this is not the original box. I don't much care about an original box or not because my concern is obviously 'are these fake,' but it's nice to know who you are dealing with...

I just have a weird feeling and want some other opinions on these. If they are fake, they are some good ones! If they are real, my anniversary present is all set up.

Wish I had found you guys sooner since you have a trading forum here and I love Oakleys.

Ten pics to help you help me:

Legit plasma and legit Black Iridium Polarized lenses but the box is for a Plasma Ice Iridium ( non polarized) pair.

Though the pitting inside the left orbital is a bit unusual for that generation, those, in every way, look like 100% genuine 4th gen plasma frame / Black Iridium Polarized (BIP) lens Juliets.

There are not only no tells on them for a fake, but they match specifics to identify them as legit.

Congrats on the anniversary! How many years? Are you willing to share what you paid for them?

I've always thought plasma / BIP to be one of the best all-around colorways for Juliet. Some contrast lenses are more versatile from the perspective of light conditions, but from a perspective of styling (from suit to shorts) they go with everything...

If your husband doesn't care about the packaging, you can probably sell the box / coin alone in the exchange on the forum, once / if you reach minimum requirements to post there (15 posts, 2 weeks as a member).

    Welcome!
