Rehab of a Tower Display?

So as you can see from this stretch line tower I just picked up it has a little more rust than it should have.

What would be the best thing to use to bring it back to life. It has surface rust on it.

Well, I plan to disassemble mine, blast it, maybe with starch or another soft media and then try an oil rub on it.

Maybe super fine ones. Its not like you're using steel wool or something though. Unless you apply a ton of force you shouldn't do much to it.

Blue scotchbrite pabs aren't suppose to leave scratches. That's what I use when cleaning glass.
